Gift Booklet

Hello there, Beshka here and I wanted to share a little gift idea for the end of the school year. While summer means sleeping in and no homework, for military kiddos it often means saying goodbye to friends as well.

This year several of my daughters friends are moving and the girls often complain about having to move and how bored they will be. I can’t do anything about their relocating but I thought maybe we could come up with some sort of gift to help alleviate some of their boredom as they travel and their lives are a bit in limbo.

Looking through the kits I fell in love with the Dear Lizzy card set that is part of the June2015 Bits & Pieces kit. I decided I would turn one of those cards into a booklet that would let me include a few different ways the girls could entertain themselves.
I came up with ‘5 Things To Keep You Busy Over The Summer’.

I geared the ideas toward 7th and 8th grade girls and tried to keep it inexpensive. I used items from my June Gossamer Blue Kits, two $10 gift cards, stamps, candy, and embroidery thread that I had on hand for a thoughtful gift that cost less than $30.

My daughter already gave a booklet to one of her friends who liked it so well even I got a hug, unexpected but totally welcome! :) The booklet could easily be tweaked for a teachers gift or boys as well. Lots of gifting possibilities and lots of fun to make!

Thanks for stopping by! xx
